Sanguine Mountain (Camazotz Trilogy #1)
by

An anonymous letter shatters the world Connie thought she knew and trusted. The news that her parents aren’t really her own leaves her angry, devastated and alone. The search for the truth leads her down a dark, desolate forest road where she meets a boy in the shadows who has secrets of his own.

Rockland’s life has been ruled by an ancient curse since the day he was born. Forever labeled a misfit and a rebel, he is desperate to convince his leaders that integration with the modern world will be the salvation of their kind—not their demise.

After their worlds collide in the middle of a dark forest, Connie and Rocks strike a deal to help each other find the answers they both need—away from her lying parents and the judgmental sneers of his colony. But, can they find love on their journey to discover who they are and where they belong in the world?

2015 Summer Blogger Promo Tour

Posted by The YA Book Traveler , Saturday, July 25, 2015 12:00 AM

The Summer Blogger Promo Tour is hosted by The Book Bratz. I was asked by my friend Kim to buddy up with her as her partner because her partner was unable to participate.

Today I have a guest post from my super awesome German friend, Kim from Dreaming in Libraries. She talks about her favorite German authors! How exciting!

Check it out!

Hey Everyone!
I’m Kim blogging over at Dreaming in Libraries.
So this post was originally planned for another blog during the Summer Blogger Promo Tour taking place right now. But when one of the blogger from my group was removed from the tour I had to find a solution. I knew right away that I’d love to feature Sarah on my blog instead of the one planned, because Sarah is one of the nicest people out there on twitter and really one of my favorite bloggers :-)! I was even happier when she agreed on introducing my blog on hers, too!
Thank you SO MUCH, Sarah, for jumping in and having me on your blog today!!
Sarah liked the idea of me talking about my favorite German authors, so I did. I hope you enjoy this post!

Goodreads Summary:
Agnieszka loves her valley home, her quiet village, the forests and the bright shining river. But the corrupted Wood stands on the border, full of malevolent power, and its shadow lies over her life.

Her people rely on the cold, driven wizard known only as the Dragon to keep its powers at bay. But he demands a terrible price for his help: one young woman handed over to serve him for ten years, a fate almost as terrible as falling to the Wood.

The next choosing is fast approaching, and Agnieszka is afraid. She knows—everyone knows—that the Dragon will take Kasia: beautiful, graceful, brave Kasia, all the things Agnieszka isn’t, and her dearest friend in the world. And there is no way to save her.

But Agnieszka fears the wrong things. For when the Dragon comes, it is not Kasia he will choose.

My New Thing: Book Trailers!

Posted by The YA Book Traveler , Wednesday, July 22, 2015 11:07 AM

In preparation for #TruthwitchStreetTeam, they (Susan Dennard and @truthwitch) were running a campaign to find those who had LOTS of enthusiasm for Truthwitch, the new series soon to be released by Susan Dennard in February of 2016.

So, I made a video!

I had so much fun making it, I decided to start making more book trailer videos for books I'm very excited about.  You can subscribe to my channel as I will try to make more and more.

Here are the other two I've made so far. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas and The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig!

This was my newest, and quite possibly my favorite video so far!

Travelers
By Meradeth Houston

Summary:
Sienna Crenshaw knows the rules: 1) no time traveling beyond your natural lifetime, 2) no screwing with death, and 3) no changing the past. Ever. Sienna doesn’t love being stuck in the present, but she’s not the type to break the rules. That is, she wasn’t the type until her best friend broke every one of those rules to keep Henry, her twin brother and Sienna’s ex-boyfriend, alive.

Suddenly, Sienna is caught in an unfamiliar reality. The upside? Henry is still alive. The downside? Sienna’s old life, including the people in it, has been erased. Now, Sienna and Henry must untangle the giant knot in time, or her parents and all the rest of the Travelers, will be lost forever. One problem: the only way to be successful is for Henry to die.

Today, I reached 1,600 Twitter followers, which I find kinda MIND-BLOWING!

I started this blog back last October with the hopes of finding ways to interact with more bloggers and the book community that I was falling in love with, and to be able to talk about books I love!

I never expected to build friendships online the way I have built them just over these last 8 months!
So, to show my utter appreciation, I decided to do an awesome giveaway.

One winner will win:

A Pre-Order of a Personalized Signed copy of Truthwitch by Susan Dennard!

Schuler Books is a chain in Michigan that works alongside of Susan. She is so fabulous that she'll sign and personalize any book ordered through this store.

International you say? Yes! Even if Schulers doesn't ship to your country, I will make sure it gets there, even if that means shipping myself.

This is a video book trailer I made for a #TruthWitchTuesday Street Team contest! It was super fun to make and it makes me MORE excited for the book!.
